Butterfly World
Homes in St Albans and District area have recently had a flyer drop through the door for the "Butterfly World". You can download a scanned copy to read using the link below.
My family went to visit this in 2009 and found it a most enjoyable day out, we can throughly recommend a visit. When the Biome is completed it will be the worlds largest butterfly house and even in the current temporary housing for the butterflies you can spend ages watching these beautiful creatures.
Currently on site:-
- Butterfly house (temporary home to 600 tropical butterflies).
- Construction of the Biome
- 12 gardens to visit
- Walks around the site.
- Butterfly and Insect study centre
- Cafe, gift shop and plant boutique.
- Pinic area.
- Free parking.

All this and its right on our doorstep! Only around 7 miles from Harpenden which is about a 20 minute drive. Well worth a visit with the family or perhaps an organised visit for the Scouting young people.
