I found the link http://www.scouts.org.uk/gslsupport which is an induction session aimed at new GSLs so perhaps of use to Chris and Phil. The rest of you may wish to look at it to see if there is anything you didn’t know.......
· I have been asked to draw leader’s attention to the new fact sheet FS155068 Planning an Outing (this replaces FS155052 and FS140057)
· Further to Jan’s note about provisional appointments, could you please feed back to Jan whether you will be altering the role to Occasional Helper or whether they will be doing modules 1-3 in the next couple of weeks. If you can’t remember who was involved there is a file attached which may help.
· Also attached is a list showing the current status of Nights Away permits. Please ensure that leaders wishing to renew realise that they need a current first aid qualification and that their permit will expire at the same time as their first aid expires. Also attached is a renewal form to save your leaders looking for it.
· Again another reminder from the meeting, please check your record on scouts.org and ensure your email address is there. Please encourage your leaders to do the same.
· Repeat of the message from Ray, if you can take photos of the Beavers/Cubs/Scouts doing interesting things in full uniform, he would be most grateful.
· Remember I am keen to know what support your leaders would like which they are not currently getting and also which zone they find most difficult so we can see if the District can support them
· Last but by no means least, I hope to see as many as possible of you at the AGM tomorrow.
